    Acclaimed History Of Chicago (The Band) Doc Airs New Year's Night

    I'm not entirely sure how this acclaimed documentary, called "Now More Than Ever: The History of Chicago," ended up as a CNN project, but it's airing Sunday night at 8 PM, with a repeat two hours later on the all-news channel. (It also apparently repeats on Jan. 7th at 8 PM, in case you miss the original air time.)

    If you were ever a fan of the band Chicago (once known as Chicago Transit Authority) it sounds like it could be good. It's had great reviews in film festivals and won a few awards along the way, so it may be worth a look.

    "Bandmates discuss their early days of peace rallies with Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix, as well as the stories behind their hit, 1969’s “Does Anyone Really Know What Time It Is?,” to “If You Leave Me Now,” to “You’re The Inspiration,” to “Saturday In The Park” and many more with colorful insights."

    I bought the original Chicago Transit Authority album when it was new. I just gave my son my entire record collection , over 1000 lp,s. CTA was one of the first music I bought with my own money. I will pvr the CNN show tonight and view it later. Thanks for the post.

    I practically wore out my copies of Chicago Transit Authority, Chicago II and Chicago III, I played them so often. Not as big a fan of their music thereafter, but those first three albums were classics. Thanks for the reminder.
