Jessica Smith Now A Fulltime Weather Forecaster At CP24

It seems like she's been there awhile, but the anchors on CTV News at 6 Saturday officially welcomed weather forecaster Jessica Smith to the staff of CP24 full time. She officially took on her new role as of June 1st, as indicated in her Twitter feed:

"Welcoming in June with a new job! I’m excited to share I’m joining @CP24 as a Weather Specialist! I’m so excited for this opportunity! And I’ll still be popping in on @YourMorning & @CTVToronto! Stepping into this new role with an attitude of gratitude!"

She began her weather career in Saskatchewan before landing at CKCO in Kitchener, and quickly graduating to the Toronto mothership, CFTO. The station needed new talent when Bell fired their longtime weather prognosticators Anwar Knight and Tom Brown back in Feb. 2021.

She's not very good. She talks way too fast. Slow down, girl.

Jessica was on Your Morning today with Anne-Marie Mediwake, and Kelsey McEwen.  Kelsey, who is a meteorologist handled the weather.  Agree Jessica does tend to talk too fast when doing the weather.  Your Morning has too much weather IMO.  They are using it as filler. This show doesn't have much content.
