An actual groundbreaking legend. Brilliant songs, endless legs, black leather, sexy bed hair, that wicked gleam in her eye paired with a saucy grin. The Queen of Rock 'n' Roll.
83 years. RIP Ms. Turner 🕯️

All my musical heroes are passing on. This is so sad.
I interviewed Tina in Toronto in the late 1980s. She was wonderful. She told great stories of working with Phil Spector. Not so great stories of being with Ike all those years. Glad she had a successful second career in the '80s.
Rest well Tina...you were 'Simply The Best'.

One more person to add to the playlist of Dead FM.

She leaves a legacy - not to mention a leg-acy, since she had those incredible gams insured at one point in her life. A tremendous talent who overcame a lot to prove it to the world.

My mom loved Tina Tuner lots and so did I. She will be missed by us all.

You'll remember Rick Beato's moving tribute to Gordon Lightfoot, just a few weeks ago.
Now, like many of us, he's becoming shell-shocked as, increasingly, we are losing the great musicians of our salad days.
