CBS Confirms Post Super Bowl Launch Show, Still Waiting On Canada

The Super Bowl won't even air until Feb. 11, 2024 but we already know the show that will get the coveted postgame slot down south on CBS, traditionally the biggest marquee moment of the season thanks to the guaranteed large audience.

And the program that gets that honour is called "Tracker." Never heard of it? It's brand new and hasn't debuted yet. But it stars This Is Us' Justin Hartley as "a loner survivalist who uses his skills to help both private citizens and law enforcement solve mysteries."

Sounds a bit like The Equalizer to me, but we'll see.

As for what CTV will choose to air following the game, that's up in the air. My guess is they'll wait until after the dust settles on the buying frenzy of American shows that takes place every year, before making any decision. It's not clear if they'll get access to "Tracker" but you have to think there's a chance they would just simulcast CBS for the night - although they've shown in the past they don't always follow the American network with the rights to the NFL final.

But this year, there's another twist - if the writers' strike lags on too long, there may not be any "Tracker" to show, and they may have to settle on something else entirely.
