I believe Christmas "officially" ends at noon on Dec 25th as that is when most of the "holiday hits" magically disappear from the airwaves.
Unfortunately...no...that's not true.
Why we have to suffer through 'it' boxing day can only mean that 1 day a year radio actually cares about advertisers more than is normally the case. That music radio NEVER cares about the audience itself remains painfully evident 365 1/4 days each woe-begotten year. After that? Those other stations don't even begin to count or matter.
Blah blah blah blah blahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Want to celebrate Xmas? SHUT UP!!!!!

I don't feel it's worth the effort when guests will be hard to get, on air people you expect won't be on, and most of your audience won't be listening
R.U. kidding? This thread alone offers more talent than the CBC and Saturday Nite Live combined & at no cost (and by the way WHAT on air people you expect):
- O. Codger
- R. Active
- D Patterson
- kevjo
- cGrant
- mace
- Hansa
- Fjiri
and last but certainly not least . . . the mysterious Grilled Cheezie

This is going way back - maybe to the '70s - but I remember CHUM-FM playing all Beatles on Christmas morning. I believe they did this on more than one Christmas Day, but my recollection on is hazy. Anyone know?
Thanks for jogging my memory, Dale. I remember it was Benji Karsh who hosted the all-Beatles Christmas mornings on CHUM-FM, for more than a couple of years in the 1970's. I often wondered if it was to offer something nostalgic for us boomers who fondly recalled receiving Beatles albums for Christmas a decade earlier. For me it was"Something New" in 1964, and "Rubber Soul" in 1965. Cheers to everyone at SOWNY for a happy holiday season!
