Congratulations to the Globe and Mail on the nominations. With all the faux Fox news, churnalism and noise generated by shady characters, the internet and social media, we need journalists and newspapers more than ever these days.
Public service indeed.

The Globe and Mail deserves the Michener Award nominations for their investigative reporting. They have broken some big stories over the past few years. The paper is nicely laid out, well written, colourful and the glossy pages gives the G&M a distinct look. Also this is expensive to do for a daily.
I only buy the G&M maybe once or twice every couple of weeks. If I was smarter, and better read, likely would pick it up more often. For in depth Canadian business news they are still the best.

You could always subscribe online. They currently have a deal - two dollars a week for an entire year. That's pretty cheap for access to a newspaper's website. The regular price is about eight bucks a week, which is getting up there a bit. Not sure how long this offer is on for.
