Yes that's right CTV Kitchener aired the feed from CTV News Channel instead of the local 6 PM newscast on CTV Kitchener. I don't know if this affected CTV Toronto, CTV Northern Ontario or CTV Ottawa but when airing the commercials the CTV News Kitchener logo bug was visible and on the wrong feed from CTV News Channel. But at 6:15PM CTV Kitchener came on. Like we have to deal with the PGA golf on CTV 2 London now this mishap? Come on Bell Media get your stuff together.

I knew PGA overtime was going to pre-empt CTV London's 6:00 newscast, so I switched to CTV KItchener at 6 and saw endless commercials for a few minutes after 6 then the Newschannel feed.. I just went to Global and didn't realize they were back to local by 6:15.... sorry guys, you lost me as a viewer.

I went to CHCH after I saw the feed for CTV News Channel. You have to blame Bell Media for all this excuses like moving local control staff to Toronto for the Kitchener station after they went to HD in 2017. Also TSN airs the PGA golf too why not air the PGA on TSN? Why not air shows on CTV 2 London and then air the 6:00 newscast? But the PGA airs on the CBS stations and the CRTC required CTV2 to air the PGA and air the Canadian commercials and CTV has the rights to air the PGA as well.

For what it's worth, the full 30 minute newscast in on their website. They started off by apologizing for the "technical problems" they were having.
I suppose a crawl or some kind of card would have been nice, but the way things are sent out of Agincourt, that might not have been possible.
At least they did an on-line version of the cast. To be fair, they often do a short online cast when they're being preempted by a sports event.

I cannot even watch any videos on their site. Even London is down. I sent CTV News an email about this

CTV’s local stations really need to have streaming apps. I’m in Houston right now to see the Blue Jays, and the Roku TV in my accommodations has apps for all of the Big 3 affiliates here. All of their newscasts are available live and on demand, without any need to have a cable subscription. Newscasts can be streamed regardless of what’s on the main linear channel; for example I was able to watch ABC 13’s Eyewitness News at 9:00am while the main ABC 13 channel was airing Live with Kelly and whoever the other host is these days.
As someone in the advertising industry I think it’s foolish of CTV not to provide their local newscasts this way. It would reach more people, and advertisers could reach more people, especially core-cutters.

That is neat I can watch Global News for free on their app and on Pluto TV. I can watch CHCH live for free on their YouTube channel. CTV News is just misleading and false information about what can you watch live or you cannot watch.
