We'd need to be lawyers to sort through the legal basis of the threatened action, but it's not a good look for either Smith or the CBC.

Regardless of your politics she does something stupid that she has to apologize for every two weeks. And then in her apology she tries to justify what she's done and compares herself to an oppressed group. The less she speaks, the better for her re-election chances. Picking a fight with the media rarely works in Canada. Our journalists generally do solid work.

She has to do something...anything...to move the needle. The May 29th election is coming like a freight train, and Premier Smith knows what is likely to happen.
Phrases and slogans used by the premier, and her supporters, suggest that Faux News is hot on their radar. The comment to that story is a perfect example.
