AI TV Newscasters Popping Up Overseas. Here's What They Look Like

It's a troubling trend, but even if they're mostly in a foreign language, Artificial Intelligence anchors that have been popping up overseas still don't quite seem ready for primetime. But that isn't stopping some stations and countries from using them.

Still, the technology is in its early stages and it's believed it will almost certainly get better. And that should make any on-air types worried about the future.

If you're curious what they look like you can see samples here.

As if news broadcasters haven't lowered their status enough already.

I guess this takes us the rest of the way there...to talking heads.

On a related note, as I politely waited in line to checkout my groceries, someone in line complained about the stores cutting down on cashiers, trying to push people to use the self-checkouts. I took my stand. "Next thing you know, they'll want us to unload the trucks and stock the shelves", I said to general agreement. Nods all round.
