A very long but interesting list of shows you probably watched, but with at least one episode you may never have seen again. There's a lot here, ranging from those you'd expect - NYPD Blue, Maude's infamous abortion episode - to those you won't, including The Twilight Zone, Sesame Street and even Misterogers Neighbourhood.
Misterogers, really? It apparently happened and the linked article explains the reason.
What could Sesame Street have possibly done to deserve an episode ban? The answer is also there, but if you want to see this too-scary-for kids rarity, it's on YouTube here.
Some of the shows listed only aired once, others never got to see the light of day at all.
Banned TV Moments That Fans Can't See
There is one episode they don't mention and I've been waiting to see it for years. It's an episode of Law & Order: SVU called "Unstoppable" and it was supposed to air around the time Donald Trump was first running for president of the U.S.
The story involves a mogul who's trying to get elected to office, when spurious sexual allegations about his past emerge. The episode was considered too close to the real thing and the network pulled it, rescheduled it and then pulled it again. To my knowledge, it has never aired anywhere to this day.
I'm not honestly sure why - all the things I've read about it say the would-be candidate is found innocent when a trusted member of his staff is discovered to have been the prepetrator of the crime. Maybe one day we'll finally get to see it. That day, however, hasn't come yet.
