Wow .. quite the train wreck of an interview by someone who wants to be considered a serious candidate for Toronto mayor. John Moore finished the interview saying: "Blake Acton, I have to tell you .. you not making a good impression" .. LOL
"Toronto mayor candidate Blake Acton makes his pitch to Moore In The Morning with his campaign platform of making the TTC free."

I heard this train wreck of an interview while out walking the dog and while it was very entertaining, if this guy ever had even a remote chance of winning the mayor's chair (which is extremely doubtful) he just destroyed it.
Or as I like to say, after hearing that interview, it's definitely NOT worth the drive to "Acton!"

Other Blake Acton promises:
"I will cure cancer" (yes but how?) "O don't worry all will be revealed soon"
"All food in restaurants will be free." This is completely doable.
'I will build a new Toronto colony on Mars. Details to follow.'

LOL - yeah.
Acton: "It's totally do-able!"
Moore: "Tell me how."
Acton: "Well, that's another conversation."
Moore: "No! It's THIS conversation! *laughs*"
And later Moore with "This is a little too coy for my taste."

As John Moore said...he did not make a good impression!

In all fairness, a good politician that wants to get elected could have at least said "I have good connection with Pattison group. There will be a lot more advertising on TTC property..."
Blake couldn't even do that.

Alex Pierson got her shot at Acton during an interview on AM 640 Tuesday morning. And it quickly became clear he learned absolutely nothing from his session with Moore on RB.
He bobbed, he weaved and he refused to say exactly how he would finance such a "free TTC" scheme, despite Pierson trying to pin him down. And this time he did it for an entire 15 minutes.
Clearly, she wasn't convinced, either. This guy is doing himself no favours going on the air with this stuff. And at this point, I doubt he could be elected dog-catcher, let alone mayor.

This whole thing makes me think of Olivia Chow. During the first John Tory Campaign, she was considered tob be a serious front runner.
Until she opened her mouth.

In fairness, previous candidates Rob Ford and Doug Ford also graced the airwaves with horsepuckey, but they gave good interview so therefore often got a pass from hosts.

Another fringe candidate has emerged! Yes, Giorgio Mammoliti is making the rounds, mouthing the same shambling bullshit. Let's see if the interviewers exhibit the same level of scepticism and distain as they did with Blake Action.

Does this mean if he's elected we'll finally get the world's largest flagpole?

Giorgio Mammoliti has a casual relationship with working .. he's a "well rested grifter" shall we say : )) ..
from thread: "Ann Rohmer Files Last Minute To Run For Toronto City Council"
Giorgio will make a terrific mayor
