Sarah Polley: Narrating HNIC Opening Means More Than Going To Oscars

Super talented Canadian writer/director Sarah Polley, who won an Oscar tonight for Best Adapted Screenplay for her movie Women Talking is a serious hockey fan, and brave soul that she is, a lifelong Toronto Maple Leafs fan.

How serious? Sarah says narrating the opening of Hockey Night In Canada means more to her than the big awards ceremony held tonight. As it should.

Above is a link to the opening in case you want to check out her performance. Whoever put together the game footage aced it. The copy cuts close to the bone too, when it comments on how the Leafs ... well, let's just say Sarah did a brilliant job with the voice work and it's well worth watching.
