Denholm Jolly struggled for a very long time to bring the original "Flow" format to Toronto, arguing the city's Black community didn't have a station of their own to listen to. He finally got the coveted licence for CFXJ 93.5 and we all know the tumultuous history of the format since then (including having it move to another station altogether.)

Now his story will be coming to both the big and small screen, including a sitcom that traces his first forays into coming to Canada and the one that truly interests me, a film about the struggle to get the radio station approved by the CRTC.
