Multi-talented Alan Thicke has passed at the age of 69...
It was 1977 and Alan was hosting a television game show...
Yours truly was a contestant on that show...
Met him briefly after the taping...
R.I.P.

An excellent example of his humour that will be missed, 6:37 in, he sings, then says "Do I have to pay anybody for that?...Pay me to Shut up!!" lol
I worked up in Kirkland Lake back in the early 70s. Alan would pop into town from time to time. A truly GOOD guy. [and talented too]
Sorry for this loss. Condolences to family, friends and fans.

He used to use that ancient old joke about the population of Kirkland Lake never increasing because every time a girl got....you know the rest...
A couple of quick observations....
Alan and I had a mutual lady friend...we both met her at the game show I posted about earlier in this thread...she told me she actually flew to L.A. to spend time with him circa 1978...I believe she was no more than 18 at the time...
Playing hockey at 69...man sometimes I can barely get out of my car....

Alan Thicke worked at CFPL 980 while he was attending the University of Western Ontario. Today former morning man Bill Brady reminisced on one of the talk shows...
