I was scrolling through the listings when I found what looks to be an amazing treasure trove of programming coming next week on Buffalo's Channel 17. And if you're a music fan or into rock history, you may well want to DVR at least some of what's coming.
I'm not entirely sure if any of this is on the full PBS network or not, so if you get Detroit or some other affiliate, you may need to check if or when these air. They look not only impressive but very diverse. It starts on Saturday and goes on for most of the week. Here's the list, complete with times and descriptions. Keep in mind they often re-air these kinds of things overnight if you miss them the first time around.

For those of us who get Detroit's WTVS on cable or sat, the Jimi Hendrix show runs tomorrow at 10:30pm, and John Denver Monday at 8pm. Haven't yet found the other shows on WTVS' schedule, but they do have some similar shows on the way, including one with James Taylor, and another with The Carpenters.

I'm not sure if this coincides with Pledge Week, which means the shows will be interrupted constantly for "give us your money" shilling, so your best bet is to DVR any of the shows you want to see, to be able to avoid the endless begging.

Just noticed that CBC-TV is showing an old four-part documentary on the Rolling Stones Sunday night. It's called "My Life As A Rolling Stone" and highlights each main member of the band in separate one-hour segments. Part one, Mick Jagger, airs at 8 PM, followed immediately by part 2, about the apparently indestructible Keith Richards.
The last two segments, Ron Wood and Charlie Watts, air in the same timeslot on the same night a week later.
This series has been on TV before and remains available on CBC's Gem website in case you missed it the first time around.
