Ben Shulman isn't a regular doing Blue Jays play-by-play, although he filled in admirably for a few games last season. But he appears to have a bright future in sports broadcasting - and he's certainly made his dad, Dan Shulman, proud.
“I guess I learned things about broadcasting from a pretty young age,” said Ben. “I’d be lying if I didn’t say having my father in it didn’t come with certain advantages. But I remember wanting to take my dad to school for that workday. He couldn’t do it because he was away. So Leo (Rautins) took me to a Raptors game. I got to experience everything from his point of view. I got to see the truck. Those kinds of things. I guess, if my dad was a baker, I would know the process of baking bread.”
