Former Monday Night Football Reporter Recalls Torture Of Working There

This isn't something you'd normally see here, but the article - an excerpt from a new book - is stunning. It tells the story of Lisa Guerrero, a former sideline reporter for ABC's Monday Night Football who many here may remember, and what working on the high-pressure broadcast as a woman did to her life.

She recalls months of emotionally devastating abuse from her colleagues, including the producer, and incredibly, having an actual miscarriage on the field, with blood flowing out of her, while she was reporting from the sidelines and being too afraid to stop.

Scary stuff and a sign of what some women face when they try to enter what was once traditionally thought of solely as a "man's job."

The article from Sports Illustrated is very long, but very compelling.

‘Monday Night Football’ Was Her Dream Job. What She Found Was Loneliness, Depression and Devastation.

There are certain elements to this story that have a familiar ring to them. Just a thought, but something I think worth mentioning.
