It won't really be news that no one watched what passed for a local newscast on WUTV in Buffalo. The ratings were low, the cost was high and in the end, that combination didn't add up. Sinclair, the owners of the station, have cancelled the local entity as of Jan. 27th, leaving four employees out on the street. It will be replaced with a national headlines show, which is sure to do just as poorly.
The local 10 PM news, which followed Fox primetime programming, wasn't really that local in the first place. Most of the people involved were doing it from out of the Buffalo area, which made it a bit of a dubious process in the first place.
