A while back I posted about a great oldies station out of suburban Pittsburg. WJPA FM and as soon as I did it seems that my fave DJ from the station was off. I think he's back now. Anyway I want to point out a countdown show on the station which I think is excellent. They recreate a diffrent vintage chart from Pittsburg every week and conduct the countdown as if it's taking place at the time of the broadcast. What I enjoy about it is that you get to hear a lot of hits and regional hits that rarely get played any more.
The countdown runs every Sunday from 12 to 2 PM. This week they are featuring November 1967: Here's the link to the chart survey they are using this week . They step out of the survey as well.
Some of the other Sunday programing leans heavily on the pre-Beatles era but during the week they feature oldies from the 50's to 80's.
Here is the listen link and the station web page .

Thanks Fitz! I'll be sure to listen in the weeks ahead. I like the concept of presenting the countdown as if it's happening at the time of the broadcast.
BTW, the web site says the Vinyl Countdown is from 10 a.m.-noon

Another case of the web site not being correctly updated. New time is 12 PM. I listened today ( or at least recorded) and they may have tweaked the Sunday programing, it may not all be pre-Beatles after the countdown ends.
