On a sad day, Toronto morning show host has excellent idea

A fan favorite, respected and loved by the hockey community, Toronto Maple Leaf hockey legend Borje Salming has passed away at 71 from ALS. A very sad day.

Greg Brady from am640 shared an idea on how to pay tribute and it's likely others will have the same idea.

Wouldn't it be terrific if all of the hosts and on-air talent in Toronto radio and even television encourage public interest and support, and we as a city make this happen.

Apparently, this was in the works before Salming's death. It's being made for a Swedish streaming service, but I have to believe it will be shown in Canada, as well.

I believe that Salming along with Inge Hamerstrom was one of the first Swedes to play in the NHL. Remember that infamous quip by Harold Ballard when he said they ( or maybe just Inge) could go into a corner with two two eggs in their pocket and come out unscathed.
