Looks like this GoFundMe created 4 days ago explains things:
Kristy Knight (KK) has been a Niagara radio staple for over 30 years.
She recently resigned from her job to protect her mental health.
The only concern that KK has at this moment is making her dog, Snickers, comfortable in this time of lack of finances.
I also see this Reddit thread has a link to a Facebook post confirming she left earlier in November and looking for a job outside of radio.

"KK: Not trying to start shit...Has anyone else noticed that the only people who have left my former employer are women? Kinda dawned on me tonight...Chrishon, Dianne, Rita, Brittany, Katie, Laura (whole other story with that one), me...Only Brian from mornings has left because he was sent to Country. Anyone who has ever worked with KK can confirm, she is in fact always trying to "cause shit".
