Two U.S. Late Night Talk Shows Going Live On Election Night

If you're a fan of either Jimmy Kimmel or Stephen Colbert, Tuesday night's shows should be a bit of a treat. Both are going live to air at 11:35 PM to include as much up-to-date election related info as possible.

Colbert has done this before, and it always gives both an increased relevance and a bit of danger - you never know what might happen when you're working without a pre-taped net. I can't quite recall a night when two of the major late night programs were done live.

No word on what Jimmy Fallon is planning for The Tonight Show.

I'm actually surprised any of these shows are on at all. Given how close some of the races in the U.S. midterms are expected to be, I thought they might be pre-empted for late night news coverage.
