It's not really a surprise, especially with NBC considering eliminating an hour of primetime seven days a week, but TV Line is reporting the network has decided to pass on season 3 of the Canadian-produced "Transplant," currently airing on CTV. NBC originally took the show primarily because of a shortage of programming, caused by a COVID-related production shutdown.
It caught on with some, but not enough and they ultimately burned season 2 off in the summer - which is never a good sign.
There's no immediate word if any U.S. streaming service is interested in the series.

The brief one line story on TV Line certainly generated some fan reaction. Transplant's cancellation on NBC is the only story on the page that is getting any comments either than one on Joe Montagne on the new Criminal Minds. Seasons one and two of Transplant are still streaming on Peacock. If Peacock doesn't pick up season 3, wouldn't be surprised if Transplant surfaces on CW or ION which both have a habit of running Canadian dramas.
