I always love stories behind hits that I never knew about and when they centre around radio, it's a bonus.

Which brings us to Queen's "Radio Ga Ga," and the story of how it came to be. Apparently one of the group's very young kids didn't like a song playing on the radio that was on in the house and called it "radio ca ca."

It took off from there and the story includes the reason this song was a huge hit in Britain but disappeared quickly from the North American charts in a "payola" scandal.
