This is Canadian broadcaster Dan Shulman's final at bat as the voice of the World Series for ESPN Radio. Starting next year, he'll be replaced by Jon Sciambi, the TV voice of the Chicago Cubs, who also does coverage for the U.S. all sports network during the season.
According to the New York Post, Shulman's departure is amicable and in fact, may well have been his choice given all his other commitments. There are several reasons for the change, outlined in the article below.

Re the second half of the above article — Dick Ebersol on Tony Romo and added comments about the team
of Romo and Jim Nantz, I heard a Nantz I don’t think I’ve ever heard before, literally screaming near the end
of Sunday’s game. Enthusiasm is one thing but going wildly overboard is one trait that too many play-by-play
announcers get caught up in. Nantz is better than that…hopefully his producers aren’t pushing him in that
direction.

It makes sense for all involved. With Shulman doing Jays games full time Jon Sciambi is ESPN's lead play-by-play announcer for baseball. It would get old pretty quickly when you're the top guy until it comes time time to call the World Series and the guy who left gets to come back and take your job.
I prefer Shulman but this is the right thing to do.
