Jim Bohannon Retires

Long time U.S. talk show host Jim Bohannon will sign off with his final radio show tonight, bringing to an end a near 30 year long late night talk show career.

Bohannon took over the late night radio spot from Larry King in 1993 when King went full time with CNN.

Bohannon, who is 78, had been off the air from long stretches recently due to unnamed health reasons.

A veteran of the Vietnam war, Jim Bohannon was always an enjoyable listen for me.

I will miss him.

Re: Jim Bohannon Retires

It was nice to hear centrist talk show coming from the US.  Although hearing him trying to sound neutral about the January 6th riots last night required some contorting it seemed.

Jim Bohannon passed away this weekend after a battle with cancer. He took over from Larry King when he left his radio show. Bohannon had been in radio close to half a century. He was 78.
