The Beachcombers Turn 50
October 1, 1972 marked the debut of one of Canada's longest running series. The Beachcombers was on CBC TV until December 12 1990 with 387 half hour episodes. The comedy/drama was quite popular and also played in Britain, Australia, US, New Zealand, Greece, Ireland, Italy and many more.
