My Favourite Radio Moment Of The Week

Been unavoidably offline for a day but I wonder if anyone else heard what has to be one of my favourite moments of the week on Monday afternoon.

It happened on the afternoon drive show on AM640, as John Oakley was taking phone calls in reaction to the government removing the travel restrictions on Canadians. He connected with a listener named "Sean from Vaughan," who was obviously calling from his car. The guy played along with the "it's a great day for talk radio" shtick that Oakley likes to do, and then the host rang his bell, which was followed by a fraction of a second of dead air as "Sean" revved up to give his opinion.

All of a sudden from what sounded like the seat next to him, a woman could be heard asking very loudly and very clearly, "Is that 1010?"

The guy beside her said a terse "no," and then launched into his point.

Oakley was clearly pissed but said nothing as he let the guy finish and wisely never made any reference to it.

But I was laughing out loud at the weird moment that only lasted a second - but certainly felt like an eternity!

You could say that's a "ten out of ten" awkward moment RA!
