I was listening to 680 Citynews in the car earlier today. In the same report, Edinborough was pronounced "Edinburrow", and St. Giles chapel was pronounced "St. Guyalls". And we've already had "Bucking-hamm" and "The Mawl" countless times.
The late Casey Stengel would say "you can look it up". So, look it up. There is nothing worse it newscasting than authoritatively delivered mispronunciation.
Back in the day of the Broadcast News clattering teletype, they would often include a phonetic pronunciation guide. Nobody seems to care any more.
