CTV Ottawa News Anchor Takes On CFRA Duties

I know we have a few members in Ottawa, and they may already know this - CTV has confirmed one of their 6 PM news anchors - Patricia Boal - is taking over the 9-12 slot on co-owned CFRA. The show, "Ottawa At Work," has been using guest hosts ever since the departure of former host (and one-time Global Toronto news anchor) Leslie Roberts.

The new gig begins Monday and it will be a long day for the broadcaster - she'll still be doing the 6 PM news on CJOH.

Interesting to note that both Global's Alan Carter and Jeff MacArthur also used to do double duty on AM 640 in Toronto, in addition to their TV anchor roles, and both have now been removed to concentrate solely on the latter, with the return of Alex Pierson to post morning drive and the movement of Kelly Cutrara to the noon slot. Bell appears to be doing just the opposite.
