Interesting look back at the so-called glory days of MuchMusic, by one of the most well known personalities who saw it all.
Christopher Ward Chronicles MuchMusic
Much has also launched a retrospective of 50 excerpts from some of the station's strangest moments. See it here.

I always liked Ward's hosting of the year's cheesiest videos. He let the vids speak for themselves, rather than provide running commentary a la Ed the Sock.
A few embarrassing moments they seemed to have missed, though - Chris Ward as VJ intro-ing his own music video (yikes! That must've sucked...); and Steve Anthony in ridiculous He-Man garb gesticulating around Autohenge when he was tasked with hosting the metal show.
MUCH and MTV... They gave us the death of radio followed by the death of music. Now they don't much play music videos anymore...at least not the way they once did. No...they've left radio to play the music video soundtracks TV [and its audience] no longer wants...which has never/ever really worked. [and sounds pretty much like crud.]
I celebrate NOT.
