I'm not a journalist so have no idea what the exact seriousness of this is, but it doesn't sound like a story you'd want talked about if you're a CTV executive, or the PR agency doing crisis control and it's certainly not reassuring from the standpoint of the public and the average Canadian television viewer.
As an overstressed beleaguered main character would say in a Sucession-like dramedy "and the hits just keep on coming..."

I'm no fan of Bell and the suits should stay out of journalism, but doing a news story about an ad campaign in any context is lazy. There are almost always more meaningful stories than someone's ad campaign unless it's a politician with a controversial message that could affect the vote.
