You sometimes have to wonder what they're thinking at the CRTC. In its recent renewal of the CBC's licence, the Commission bizarrely took out a provision that forced the Corp. to work with independent producers in the making of its TV shows. 

Now their association is fighting back, demanding the feds force the CRTC to reconsider the idea, noting the fragility of the industry and how much it will hurt them.
