It's will be called "Canada's Ultimate Challenge" and the press release suggests it will take place from "British Columbia to the Confederation Bridge."
It promises to turn "the entire country into one giant obstacle course with challenges in Whitehorse, YK; Squamish, BC; Kelowna, BC; Hinton, AB; Sudbury, ON; Thousand Islands, ON; and Québec City, QC; culminating with the finale on the Confederation Bridge between New Brunswick and PEI."
"24 Canadians from across the country compete in spectacular solo, tandem, or team challenges that put their skills to the test."
If this sounds something like CTV's Amazing Race Canada, I'm sure that's not a coincidence. CBC brass has seen how well that show does in the ratings so it was probably a no-brainer for them to create one of their own.
"Coaches" will range from Olympic hero Donovan Bailey to former NFL Super Bowl winner Luke Willson.
It will be a while before you get to see it, however. The eight-part series isn't set to debut until sometime in the winter of 2023.
