Brian Bourke Afternoon News On The Grand Fergus

KW news broadcaster Brian Bourke who left City News Kitchener in February to go work at Elections Ontario is still on the radio.

He has the afternoon news run at 101 The Grand in Fergus.  The station has hourly newscasts in the afternoon until 6pm.

Bourke had been on the air in Kitchener/Waterloo for decades at KOOL FM with morning news and later Newstalk 570 hosting a popular talk show.  He helped to raise 2 million dollars for the local cancer centre during the KOOL FM annual poster boy campaign.

Re: Brian Bourke Afternoon News On The Grand Fergus

I recall hearing Mr. Bourke do the news on CFCA. He has a very smooth voice with its own characteristics and always sounded professional. I sure do miss the old CFCA FM of the 80's through early 2000's. It was a top-notch full service operation.

FWIW I briefly tuned in yesterday afternoon about 1:50 pm and it was simulcasting with 97.5 Virgin FM London. What the heck's with that?
