I'm a bit late with this one, but some in the nation's capital area may remember the name Robert W. Knight, a veteran jock who worked at CFGO and the Bear in Ottawa. According to Canadian Radio News via The Milkman site, he passed away earlier this month while recovering from an accident.
I was not familiar with him, but fans who grew up with him on the dial have had nothing but great things to say about him. I find it fascinating that he was originally brought in to go up against the late Mark Elliot on then-rocker CFRA, and while they were bitter rivals at first, they later wound up working together.
He'd been out of radio for many years but was well remembered.

Knight Time in the City. That's the way he started his shows. He was one of the first VJs in Canada when he hosted the video show on C-H-R-O television, simulcast on C-F-G-O radio..
A great announcer and great person.
R-I-P and Rock On Robert.

Robert was a lot of fun. He wouldn't let me say "automated" when I was chatting with him about radio.
(or at least the station he was with at the time)
He insisted it's "Robo Jock". lol
