Never mind the “grate” debate that airs Sunday night between Trump & Clinton. The REAL media story to me will be what happens to co-host Billy Bush on Monday’s “Today Show.” Whether you like the long running morning talker or not, it’s big bucks for NBC and they’ve been grooming Bush to one day take over from Matt Lauer. So what he says and does on the first episode back after a decade-old tape surfaced filled with vulgar observations about women between the erstwhile co-host and the future Republican presidential candidate is key.
Many think there’s no rehabilitating him, pointing out NBC also suspended and then demoted (but didn’t fire) former evening news anchor Brian Williams for exaggerating his past exploits on air.
So this should be a real test to see what a major network will do when unexpectedly caught in a scandal that envelops another of their major personalities. Reports say NBC has already determined he won’t be fired. But there’s lots of money at stake and they can’t be seen as doing nothing.
What happens in the next 24 hours should be a real eye opener, not just about the race for the White House but the battle for the hearts and minds of the female viewers that make up Today’s third hour. It will be fascinating to see what they do, and the question remains: will Billy Bush have a tomorrow at Today after what happened yesterday?

Rumours (unconfirmed) continue to circulate that Mike Bullard may be available to step in
k.
Bush....Stupid R U N S in the family. Duhhhhhhhhhhh-bya is now ever-so pissed 'cause for a minute there it looked like he was going to be replaced as the down-right dumbest/obviously MOST poorly educated M-er F-er to ever hold the office.
Now? Looks like he'll remain the runaway record holder. BAR NONE.
As far as Billy is concerned? Who gives a rat's bottom?

Sorry. I have NO idea how to lose those numbers. They don't appear on the screen until I press 'submit'. Guess my last name is Bush too. Oh well. I can still pound the living daylights outta Junior in a thinkin' derby.

It looks like we have our answer:
Billy Bush suspended from Today show
This is something of a surprise to me. Their Columbus Day notwithstanding down south, I would have thought the ratings would have been huge if they'd let him continue.

The third hour especially skews female. It would be disastrous to leave him in that spot.
