92.9 The Grand Loses Its Morning Man

Paul Laing, the morning man at The Grand-FM, is leaving the station April 29th. But according to Broadcast Dialogue, he'll still be getting up early - just in another place. He'll be CJMU-FM Bracebridge's new Operations Manager and morning talent.

No word on who will replace him. He's been with the oldies station for three years.

Re: 92.9 The Grand Loses Its Morning Man

Isn't it hard to get a host for an Oldies station? Anyone who grew up with that music is retirement age. I see they have two younger women on the announcer's page, but still.

Peter Jaycock was the first morning host on The Grand. The second one was Ben McVie, but he didn't last very long. Then Laing came in.

Broadcast Dialogue reports Paul Brown is the new morning host at the Grand. He spent 13 years at 100.3 The Bear in Edmonton, and four years at Jack 96.9 in Vancouver.
