CFRA's Bill Carroll Off The Air After Contracting COVID

CFRA's Bill Carroll is off the air, at least for now. He came down with COVID and unlike others who've been able to continue broadcasting in isolation from home, he's lost his voice from the illness and is forced to take time off.

Graham Richardson, the anchor for CTV Ottawa's 6 PM news, subbed for him on Monday.

There's no word on when he might return or how seriously the virus has affected him.

I hope Bill recovers quickly. A good guy I had the pleasure to work with years ago at CHEX.

Bill is a good guy, hope he gets better soon.  Worked with him at CFOS.  Good memories.

Re: CFRA's Bill Carroll Off The Air After Contracting COVID

Back in the 90's Bill interviewed me for a position at Q107 and he was warm and friendly. A true radio professional.

I tuned into CFRA this morning for a short time and am happy to report Bill is back on-air. Tho he's still sounding under the weather, gravelly and congested, he had his usual enthusiasm and wit.

Listeners in Toronto can hear how he's doing when NT1010 replays an hour of his morning show at 8PM.
