There's stunting, but come on! By January 1st (at the latest) an All Christmas station should go all love songs all the time, reminding people of how many days there are left until Valentine's day.
Now THAT would both make good sense, & also be great stunting, leading into a new format...On February 15th, play tons of break up & hate songs.
By February 16th, if a station isn't ready to go to their new format, I suppose Irish music non stop until St Patrick's day might work, but a new format needs to launch eventually...

Would like to know who advertises on these stations and who listens to them. Sounds like they are just looking for publicity, and naturally they got it.
