150 Stations In 25 Countries Play "Give Peace A Chance" At Same Time

All of them are in Europe, and all will be playing John Lennon's "Give Peace A Chance" simultaneously, as a protest against the war in Ukraine. That besieged country's radio stations that are still on air will be joining in the gesture.

It's nothing but a small symbol, but I have to wonder if this could spread to stations in North America as well.

Re: 150 Stations In 25 Countries Play "Give Peace A Chance" At Same Time

I wondered if this idea would spread elsewhere and now it has. On Friday, March 11th at 1:30 PM Eastern time, public radio stations in the U.S. will all simultaneously play "Give Peace A Chance," in solidarity with the people of Ukraine. There's even a countdown clock online marking the time until the event.

There's no word if any Canadian stations might also take part in the gesture.
