That name gives me flash backs to a time when AM 640 was known as Talk 640.
Radio ads on Talk 640 back then joked about how the station should be called "DOC" 640 with all these Dr. talk shows...

The "We need to Talk...640" jingle/positioner still gives me nightmares as it rings in my head.

The New York Times obit on Browne reveals two fascinating facts:
-Her very first broadcast was an accident. She was rushed on air as a fill-in when a Boston Bruins game was cancelled because the ice melted.
-The American Psychological Association thought having a therapist on radio was so beneath them that they threatened to pull her licence. But times change, and they later gave her an award for her work.
Dr. Joy Browne, Long-Running Psychologist of the Airwaves, Dies at 71
