She was an editorial assistant at Global and a videographer at CTV.

But on January 31st, Alexandra Pinto becomes something else - the new anchor of the 6 o'clock news at CTV's Kitchener-Waterloo station. She's been hanging around the market for a while and has done stories and anchoring for CKCO, but she's never gotten the most important air chair there. 

CTV Toronto has pilfered a lot of talent from that market and they eventually wind up with full or part time gigs at flagship CFTO. (Lyndsay Morrison and Jessica Smith are just a few recent examples.) Will it happen again? As they say, stay tuned.
