I absolutely love the Peanuts music [#28 and 33] recorded by the Vince Guaraldi Trio.

The kids who sang on the intro music that's generated millions of dollars in sales got paid a one-time fee of $5 per session for each of their efforts.

The CBS News video that accompanies the story is terrific.

The story behind the Vince Guaraldi Trio's Peanuts music.

Thanks RA.  This and your Pirate Radio post are two great video pieces.

Re: Buffalo's Star 102.5 Goes All Christmas

Alan Cross was on GNR640 Monday morning talking about the ghosts of Christmas music past.

For those jocks who are working the all-Yule gruel shifts, consider this: he says when he was very young in the 80s, he worked as a store clerk. They had exactly one 8-track with about 15 Christmas songs on it. And beginning in mid-November, that was the only thing that played on the speaker system in the business until sometime just after the holidays.

Yet somehow he maintained his sanity!
