A friend of mine posted this on his Facebook page and it was too good not to repost it here on an otherwise gloomy Friday.
I have no idea who the leader is (or where the fourth member of the quartet might be in the album cover pic below) but this is definitely one of the most unfortunate names for a group - especially an apparently religious one - in the history of music. Even the title of the album is bizarre. But it appears it's quite real.

Aside from the weird name, it appears the Quartet has only three members.

Sorry to burst the bubble but I saw a Twitter thread from 2018 where this was said to be a photoshopped fake.
Too funny to be true I’m afraid.

But interestingly enough, there is such a song - although not by Mr. Handler and his associates. (If they exist...)

Guess we got punked. Thanks Fitz and Grilled Cheese for bringing the truth. I feel sorry for the Singing Wells Family being mocked on line and photoshopped like this. In light of this I now regret what I said in my previous post and have deleted it...

I was on the Steve Hoffman forum looking into the authenticity of this and found the following entries re funny album names:
1.I do believe The Dick Handler Quartet is fake... but still funny
This however, is very real

Still having trouble with "quartet"
2.

3.
I like Trouble Over Bridgewater by Half Man Half Biscuit; mild wordplay on Bridge Over Troubled Water.
( I actually heard heard Half Man Half Biscuit on the radio once on CKLN in the 1980's)
and if you act fast you can get the Oakland Quartet on eBay for less than 17.00

What a shame. That's too great not to be real!

Back in the 1980s there was a group called Simple Minds (The most honestly named rock group ever)
They changed the group's name to Simple Minds after their original name "Johnny and the self abusers" didn't bring them success and fame.
The roots of Simple Minds are in the short-lived punk band Johnny & The Self-Abusers, founded on the South Side of Glasgow

There's the very clever title of Caravan's Cunning Stunts album.

at least you didn't "forget about" them.
