Former 640 Morning Host Pens Critical View Of The Industry

Supriya Dwivedi doesn't mention Corus by name, but the message is clear - she feels they didn't stand behind her in the wake of serious threats against her and her family.

Journalists need more than empty statements from their media companies

Re: Former 640 Morning Host Pens Critical View Of The Industry

Supriya was a guest on CBC Radio’s Day Six on Saturday, and it was mentioned that she worked for Corus on Global News Radio.

They also said that it was a national show, which is news to me; I had thought it was only on 640 Toronto. I don’t think her show was ever on CKNW, but I could be wrong. Not that it really matters, but they made it sound like she was well known nationally when I don’t think she was known outside the GTA.

Re: Former 640 Morning Host Pens Critical View Of The Industry

You are correct. I'm pretty sure her show was a Toronto-only entity. She has been a guest panelist in the past on CTV and other networks and written articles for some newspapers and magazines, but up until she left 640, her radio work there was strictly local. Why CBC would say that is beyond me.
