Seven days ago, SOWNY member Tardis alerted us about WABC's 100th anniversary and wondered when it would begin on air. 

The answer is last Sunday, with a series of weekly specials saluting the station's storied history, both as a Top 40 powerhouse and a talk format. The premiere replayed the very first broadcast of Rush Limbaugh and a second piece honoured Bob ("Get off my phone, you idiot") Grant. 

But it's the one coming this weekend that may be of interest to those who gather here. It's about the late, great Dan Ingram, often known as the disc jockey's dick jockey, the guy who set the standard for the format, and amassed one of the largest audiences in radio history. 

The special airs Sunday from 3-4 PM, and it appears they're archiving them in podcast form at this site, in case you miss it.
