CTV Atlantic's Steve Murphy Retiring Nov 30th

Steve Murphy who has been anchoring the news for 35 years in Eastern Canada announced last night that he is retiring in a few months.  His last newscast will be on November 30th on CTV Atlantic.  Steve is the dean of  television news anchors in the Maritimes and respected across the country.  He helped to kick off CTV's election coverage on Monday with returns from Eastern Canada.  This morning on Your Morning CTV's Lindsay Deluce and Ben Mulroney had heartfelt stories about Steve.  As chief anchor, he was Lindsay's mentor when she worked at CTV Atlantic years ago.  Steve is leaving the anchor desk, but will still be around with commentary and special assignments.

Re: CTV Atlantic's Steve Murphy Retiring Nov 30th

Steve Murphy is perhaps best known outside Atlantic Canada for his 2008 interview with then-Liberal leader Stephane Dion, in which Dion asked to start over multiple times.
