A bit OT, but I remember years ago, wire services would place embargoes on stories like the NL Rookie of the Year, or the AL Cy Young. It was done to protect morning and afternoon papers. CP-BN was allowed to pick up the stories, but with an embargo slug. I always wondered if any radio stations broke the embargoes, which were often at 6:30 p.m. (to protect AM papers) or 6:30 a.m. (to protect PM papers). The embargoed stories moved about four hours ahead of the actual embargo time.
