Hope Ryan Doyle has a good radio in his car. The sports gambling fanatic will probably be tempted to turn off NT1010 and try 1520 on his ride into work. The station has officially changed to an all-sports betting outlet, part of owner Audacy's BETQL Network. The branding is "The Bet 1520."
The 50,000-watt frequency was once a legendary Top 40 station, but has had trouble over the past few decades finding any format that works. I wonder if they're taking odds whether this one will, either.

Apparently, the decision to make the change came so swiftly, that they weren't quite ready to launch their new website. It takes a while to get to bottom of the page, but someone forgot to change the template. Notice it says "listen to TheBet 1430." That's Audacy's outlet in Denver and it links to that station.

It's interesting to watch the various new business models pop up during AM's twilight years.
This one, of course, is not about chasing ratings to generate ad revenue, but rather to funnel traffic to the sports-betting company that Audacy bought a year ago.

I see they also dropped ESPN radio in favour of CBS Sports radio overnight.
Sounds like just another sports station with the odd bit of "bet" related talk wherever they see fit.
One of their new station ids: "This is Bet 1520...Your Wagertainment station!"

The drives are both all-betting. You'll hear the "odd bit of "bet" related talk wherever they see fit" on WGR.
